I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and even a touch of humour, creating an environment where you immediately feel relaxed and understood. With many years of experience as a Psychosexual Therapist and Specialist Nurse, I've had the privilege of working with patients and clients in their most intimate aspects of life, and it's this that led me to specialise in therapy focusing on intimacy, sex, and relationships.
My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued.
As a CORST registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, I specialise in working with those that are struggling with difficulties with their sex and relationship lives. I consider a client’s problem or sexual dysfunction in terms of their personal context and the meaning it holds for them as an individual. I have the skills and experience to establish a safe, therapeutic and professional environment within which we can work.
I have worked as a clinical nurse specialist in sexual health for over 20 years which has equipped with me extensive clinical knowledge. I have also delivered specialist teaching programs on sexual health, and led a nursing team within sexual health.
I work empathetically with people helping them to recognise their own personal understanding of their sexuality, relationship and sexual health. This includes exploring your personal beliefs that are shaped by your culture, social influences, family history and personal experiences as all of these will have impact on how you understand yourself and your sexuality. It is my aim for you to feel less alone and more supported during the therapy process.
