I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the largest body of professional therapists in the UK. I regularly attend further professional training in order to keep my professional knowledge and practice up to date.
Our work together will be grounded in the person-centred approach which enables personal growth by allowing you to explore and develop your own strengths and personal identity. I also work in an integrative and holistic way in order to meet your needs as an individual with unique experiences and requirements from therapy.
In addition to working in private practice I also work as a bereavement volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Services, having completed specific training for grief and loss, including supporting people and their families living with dementia.
Additionally, I have experience working as the coordinator of a project improving the wellbeing and recovery of people living with mental health issues such as bipolar, schizophrenia, severe depression and anxiety.
I work face to face, online or via telephone. I am able to offer weekdays, evenings and some weekend appointments. I offer a free initial phone consultation of up to 20 minutes.
My fee is £40 for a 1 hour counselling session.
